my story
Photography is my passion.
If you haven’t figured it out, my name is Katie. I started getting into photography when I was given my first film camera in 2010. In 2011, I purchased my first DSLR. It was the best purchase I have ever made. All I wanted to do was learn how to use it, so I did! From then on, photography has been my passion.
I love photographing all subjects, especially newborns and children. Children bring out my spunky, fun side. With newborns, all that spunk turns into a quiet, calm, and soft nature.
Becoming a parent in 2017 and then again 2020 has helped me see just how beautiful a new life is and how precious it is to capture those fleeting moments of childhood before they pass. My goals are to help every mother and father treasure those moments forever.
A little more about me…
When I am not taking pictures you can find me with my beautiful family. Starting with my husband Zack: We have been together since 2009 and married since 2015. After marriage came our fur baby, Brad! Next came Scarlett in November of 2017 then Hunter in May of 2020. We couldn’t be any happier with our precious family.
A few fun facts
I’m a picky eater. I don’t like the crust on a Uncrustable sandwich and I love corn dogs but I am not a fan of hotdogs.
I played soccer most of my life and I really miss it. My hope is that my kids pick it up when they are older, and maybe I’ll get to coach them!
My family loves to get outside and explore. When we're not at home you may find us going on a walk, playing at the park, taking our bikes out, going to the beach, the race track or even in a craft store (thats my favorite).
